Ford has revealed a new concept sleigh for Santa Claus this Christmas.
The jolly gift giver’s new transport doesn’t rely on reindeer power, but a 1,0-litre three-cylinder ecoboost engine. The small engine packs an impressive 125bhp and 125lb ft while only emitting 114g/km CO2.
Compare that to Santa’s current CO2 output of 214,670 tons per year (thanks to nine reindeer) and Ford’s concept starts making a lot of sense.
As well as its very economical engine, the new sleigh comes with Active Park Assist (which will park/land the sleigh for him), Door Edge Protector (to stop him from knocking his shiny new doors on chimneys), SYNC (Sat Nav, music, Bluetooth), EcoMode (to make sure he’s fly economically), Stop/Start, Blind Spot Information System and MyKey.
Mrs Claus commented: “I am not looking forward to telling Donner and Blitzen the news, but the polar bears in the North Pole will certainly welcome the Ford EcoBoost-powered sleigh”.
